Hi, my name is Suz Pohl. I am 35 years old. I have been
married for 17 years to my best friend, Kyle. We were
blessed with 4 beautiful children, Gavin (16), Kegan (14),
Bracken (06/12/97 - 02/20/05) and Mearan (07/12/00 -
10/06/02). We live on a small hobby farm in Brainerd, MN.
My interest in writing began in the 7th grade. I wrote an
article for a school writing contest and found my work on
the front page of our high school newspaper. I continued to
write for the school paper and later for the newspaper in
college.During the four and a half years my two children
were ill and dying, I wrote a daily online journal. When I
closed down the website in 2005, it was receiving well over
1,000 hits a day from readers around the world.I have been
writing and publishing our church's monthly newsletter for
the last 14 months. The newsletter is sent to over 500
people every month and is available for pick-up throughout
the church for anyone not on the mailing list.
I designed, wrote and published 12 ministry brochures for
our church last year. I have also written newsletters for our
church's nursery and preschool, as well as skits and
dramas for the teen girl's group I teach at church on
Wednesday nights.I have written countless Bible study
lessons for the Christ-based weight loss group I began last
year called Blessed Losers.
I am currently an Apprentice with the Jerry B. Jenkins
Christian Writers Guild. I will complete the course in
February.I have never had any formal training and I was not
able to finish college. I have also never been paid for any of
my writing. My greatest desire has always been to further
God's kingdom through the writing talent He has blessed
