Theresa Jarvela
Fiction and non-fiction writing have interested
me for a number of years, but I became serious
about it when I took an advanced creative
writing class at Central Lakes College. In
January of 2006 I made one of the most
important decisions of my life when I joined the
Brainerd Writers Alliance. Sharing the love of
writing with others is wonderful!
My home is in Brainerd with my husband, Jack.
Four of our five children live on the east coast
in New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. Our
youngest resides in Brainerd. Another
dimension was added to my life when I became a
grandmother. So far I have three
granddaughters and one grandson!
I can't forget the part of our family which
consists of two cats, Tiger and Coal and two
dogs, Brandy and Snuggles. I have included a
letter that Snuggles submitted to the Brainerd
Daily Dispatch regarding his adoption. Hope you
enjoy it!

This picture was taken on a tour I took of the Ernest Hemingway home when
I visited my daughter in Key West, Florida. It was beautiful and interesting,
but I prefer my computer to his typewriter!
